Our earrings are designed and made right in the home of the maker, Jess. They are made of lightweight polymer clay, brass accents, and hypo-allergenic posts which are nickel-free. All posts are reinforced to avoid coming off. Please keep in mind the handmade nature of each and every piece. Variation may occur between similar pieces, restocks, and/or comparison between the picture and in person. While polymer clay is tough, avoid bending it, and store in a safe dry space if transporting to avoid breaking and tarnishing. Avoid water if at all possible considering it could imperil the lifespan of your earrings. Brass naturally will tarnish over time due to oils from the skin, moisture, or beauty products like makeup and hairspray. Find care instructions under the care for your pair section on this page.

A lot of trial and error happened in the making of this small business, as quality is extremely important to us. Hive to Hand spent an entire year practicing, testing, and researching to ensure high quality products before building this website. We feel that the learning process of what this medium can do is never ending, and perfect execution often takes a lot of oops to achieve.
Hardware & Clip Ons
One of the fascinating characteristics of the medium polymer clay is how light weight it is. If you have concerns with the heaviness of a pair, no worries. We have secured the hypo-allergenic post (nickel free) with a double cured method to avoid the risk of popping off. Earrings with metal findings have sterling silver or gold wire hardware. Clip on girls, we’ve got you. If you would prefer clip on please head on over to the contact page and send us a message including the name of the pair you wish to have made. Accommodations may be made to the pieces to ensure security of the finding. Allow 5-7 business days for making and assembling with the clip on pieces.
Care For Your Pair
Polymer: Use a damp cloth or Q-tip with a small amount of acetone to clean any buildup or makeup. If the pieces have texture or gold fleck, use water only to clean. Brass: Use a jewelry polishing cloth to buff build up off. You can also use a little bit of brass cleaner or ketchup to polish the brass. Wipe completely dry to avoid water spots after polishing.

Shipping & Packaging
Items are shipped out within 3-5 business days of receiving the cleared payment. All Items will be shipped USPS. Hive to Hand is not responsible for items once they have been dropped of at the post office. All packages arrive in gift ready, sturdy box with tissue paper and no price tag. If you would like to leave a personal message include that in the comment box at check out, free of charge.
Returns & Exchanges
We gladly accept returns and exchanges if the items are still in brand new condition. You must contact us within 14 days of receiving your items. If any breaking is experienced, please reach out so we can discuss options. Buyers will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
