Hive to Hand began in May 2019 as a fun DIY gift for the annual family reunion. From there, it blossomed into a never-ending creative outlet. The name “The Hive” stems from the purchase of the Friedel’s first home. Upon purchase, they shared their dreams of one day owning bees, having an ample garden, and creating a space where people can always feel welcome and leave smiling. Hive to Hand made perfect sense when deciding to create a business of goods to go directly into the community Jess so loves and is involved in. Whether it be honey, garden goodies, or handmade items, Jess wanted “The Hive” to be a place of growing, creativity, and happiness. You could say it is Jess’s continual drive to try something new, or the long time dream of being an artist coming to fruition.
